MOHOPE is a South Sotho word for a calabash. A calabash is a container made from dried shell of a fruit belonging to the gourd family. Our premium craft beers are proudly South African beers that take their inspiration from Basotho culture hence the brand name MOHOPE. The founder Lebona Moleli has roots in Lesotho. Basotho people have developed unique culture and tradition and take pride in their art, crafts, food and drinks.

MOHOPE is an expression and celebration of our African culture. Our flagship beer is called Mohope Premium Lager. Mohope Premium Lager is a thirst quenching, easy drinking quality crafted premium lager which is brewed with only natural ingredients including malted barley, water, hops and yeast.

It is available in 340ml green bottles and on tap. Other beer types including Mohope Pilsner and Mohope Premium Ale will be introduced soon. Mohope Brew intends to be a socially responsible employment creator and corporate citizen as it enters its growth phase.
